Fabbri - since 1905
The legacy began in 1905 when Gennaro Fabbri purchased a small grocery store and distillery in Portomaggiore, Italy. A decade later, his wife, Rachele Buriani, created a unique culinary masterpiece. She slowly cooked local, semi-candied wild black cherries in copper pots with sugar, herbs, and spices, inventing the first-ever Marena con frutto (Amarena cherry syrup). This recipe is still used today.
To thank his wife for her brilliant creation, Gennaro commissioned a special gift from master ceramist Ricardo Gatti of the famed artistic town of Faenza. Gatti designed an exquisite, oriental-art-inspired white ceramic jar adorned with striking blue patterns. This iconic and instantly recognisable jar is still used today.
From gourmet toppings, Pistachio Cream and Fabulous Bombons, Fabbri adds elegance to any recipe with tradition, passion and family values at its heart.
